Fire station Learning Logs
This is a selection of some of our models displayed in the classrooom.
Elm Class made their own fire stations for their learning logs. I hope you will agree that they are all amazing and we were incredibly proud with all the effort that everybody put in. All the children thought really hard about what they wanted to include and there was some lovely attention to detail. Well done!
A big thank you also to those parents and adults who helped contribute, you could tell the children really loved you getting involved.
Helping the birds when it snows
It is important to keep the bird feeder clear of snow and ice and topped up with high energy food. Eli went out this morning to check everything was topped up.
Let it Snow, Let it Snow, Let it Snow!!!
The Maple and Acorn children have been having a whale of a time this morning, playing in the snow. They have made snowmen, had snowball fights (where Miss Bavin ended up looking like frosty the snowman) and had a walk through the snow-covered grounds.
Building a snowman.
"Look at my giant snowball". I'm rather glad that one didn't get thrown at me!!
"Watch out!!"
Making snow angles.
These amazing action shots were taken by Niamh- watch out David Bailey!!
Thinking of interesting ways to transport the snow.
Acorns digging in the snow-wonder if they found anything?
Creating our own snowstorms.
Exploring the winter environment.

Apple Feeder
The birds are in for an early Christmas treat because we gave them an apple which is hanging from the bird table. The Orchard Centre children thought about the birds earlier this month when they put out the other food.

Bun Sale for Children in Need
A very thoughtful year 6 child, decided that he would like to do 'his bit' for Children in Need and hold a bun sale on Friday 19th November. He did a fabulous job and managed to make £10 that will then be added to the Ashfield total. Well done!!!

Oliver Twist freeze frames
Last half term in Elm class we were looking at Oliver Twist. In groups the children created some freeze frames based on their own interpretations of different scenes from the story. Can you guess which parts of the story each group were re-enacting?
